Who we are
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home improvement outlets that accept and resell quality new and used building materials, furniture, appliances and more. Shopping at a Habitat ReStore is a socially conscious decision, as the funds generated support Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta.
What we do
With the help of sponsors, donors, community partners and volunteers, we build homes alongside future homeowners to provide a solid foundation for better, healthier futures.
Families purchase their homes with no down-payment and no interest, and monthly payments never exceed more than 25-30% of each family’s gross eligible income.
Since 1990, we have partnered with more than 350 families across southern Alberta, affecting the lives of more than 1000 children.
What you can do
Shop, donate, volunteer.
Right now, one in five Canadians is spending more than half of their income on the cost of housing. In Calgary, there are more than 4,000 people on the waitlist for social housing.
When you shop, donate or volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta, you’re helping local families build strength, stability and independence through affordable home ownership.
